Event Questions

What can I expect at an event?

When you get to an event you’ll check in with your event host. Your host will then aid the group in getting introduced. A typical event will last 3-4 hours during which you’ll have the chance to meet your matches and get to know them better. When your event is done, you’ll be emailed a quick survey about the event members. Let us know who you’d like to see again and anyone you wouldn’t like to see again.

How do I know where to go for my event?

You’ll receive an EventBrite invitation with all the necessary details about the time and location of your event. The location won’t be the same every time so be sure to check your location before you RSVP to each event.

Can I see a list of my matches before an event?

Quench is a different kind of dating service that doesn’t rely on making snap judgements based on one picture. Your matches will not be shared ahead of your event. We want our members to have the opportunity to meet each other without any previous misconceptions.

What to do if there’s inclement weather?

If the weather is bad, we will keep you informed about possible cancelations through text message.

What happens if my event is canceled?

If your event is canceled, we will reach out in the next couple of days with new event dates for you to choose from. You will not be charged again for the rescheduled event.

Can I get a refund for my event if I back out?

All events are nonrefundable. This policy ensures that our staff and the event location are paid in spite of dropouts. We encourage you to only RSVP to events you are certain you can attend.

Is there a dress code for the events?

There is no enforced dress code to our events. However, we want you to put your best foot forward when meeting your matches. Please refrain from wearing sweats, workout gear, cargo pants, or t-shirts with potentially offensive phrases.

Will food or drinks be provided at events?

While no food or drinks will be provided, Quench will always work with the event location to offer extended happy hours or special drink deals for Quench members.

Match Questions

How are my matches chosen for me?

When you fill out your Quench questionnaire, we will get a better understanding of your personality as well as your preferences around religion, politics, and age. You will automatically be matched to a larger group of like-minded people. We will curate the larger group into smaller 20 person events based on which members we think will fit best. Your survey results will better help us make sure that in the group that best fits your personality and preferences.

What if I don’t have a connection with any of my matches?

If you don’t have a connection with your first round of matches, don’t worry! First, we will use your survey results to make sure you’re in the best group for your preferences. In each subsequent event you will be introduced to new matches until you find that special someone! Meanwhile, enjoy a fun evening out visiting new spots in your city while getting to know a great group of people.

What if I’m harassed by someone at my event?

If you are harassed by another member at an event, please immediately alert your host. If you don’t feel comfortable alerting your host at the event, please notify them as soon as possible afterwards. Your safety and well-being are our number one priority. Harassment will always swiftly be dealt with in a manner befitting the severity of the harassment.

Subscription Questions

Why Should I have a subscription?

You do not need a subscription to attend your first event. However, if you want to continue attending events once or twice or a month you will need to purchase a subscription. For just $1.00 a month you will continue to be matched with new matches and receive new event invitations. This fee is separate from the $20.00 you will pay for each event you attend.

Can I continue coming to events without a subscription?

Unfortunately, unless you subscribe to Quench you will not remain on our list of eligible members for new events. If you want to continue attending events be sure to follow the link to purchase a subscription after your first event.

How do I cancel my subscription?

If you want to cancel your subscription for any reason just email Quench through our “Contact Us” form on the website. Let us know that you want to cancel your subscription and we will close your account.
